It can even be inferred that it is the sense of smell that stimulated the evolution of the earliest primitive fish, causing a small piece of olfactory tissue on its olfactory nerve tract to evolve into the brain. The information from the olfactory neurosphere is transmitted to the limbic system through nerve impulses, that is to say, the odor stimulus is very tightly connected to the memory material. The odor stimulation can increase the excitement of the limbic system, thereby improving the memory effect.
